Are you serious? I didn't know that it had filled up already. I had no idea. I bet if you sent an email to the Booty organizers and told them you were late to sign up but are part of a team they may let you sign up. Last year, they capped it early and then opened up 300 more spots in June.

Hope you can make it happen.

A.

yeah, i tried emailing and getting them to create a "wait list" which they put me on. Hopefully I'll get in.

I think it's great that kids get to participate but I just wonder how many spots they took and they will only do a few laps. :(

I got that email the other week stating that the event was full and I couldn't believe it. I should be able to make it for the entire time this go round. I just got a second job working part time every Saturday at Carolina Euro in Greensboro, but they know that I need a few Saturdays off over the summer. If anyone wants to join me for this ride on Sunday the 17th of May you are all welcome; I am using it as training for the upcoming 3 mountain madness ride later that month.

Well I've been doing the IT band rolling as well as some other knee cap stretches over the last few days and it's amazing what a little stretching will do. My knee certainly isn't 100% but it's worlds better than it was just 2 weeks ago. :-D

Tonight, May 6th, 6:30-7:30pm, EDDY MERCKX, will be in Charlotte at the Carolina Bicycle Company's Pineville location (south Charlotte). Just heard about this and will probably drop by to see the cyclist that Lance Armstrong calls "The Greatest of All Time".

Seeing the post about the BSG wait list answers my question. I guess I won't be going this year but hey, who says we can't get together and just do the ride on our on? I did the Mt. Mitchell ride last year on my b-day. It was awesome.

Universal Sports is going to run the Giro but TWC doesn't carry Universal. Guess I'll be checking out velonews.tv and steephill.tv for my updates.

I'm in for BSG. It's going to be my warm up for death ride 2 weeks later. :)

My knee is finally coming around where I can actually do some riding instead of just spinning.

A buddy of mine was the cut off guy for BSG this year. Everything looked fine when he went to the page, by the time he filled it out.......full. :(

I'm planning on doing Bridge to Bridge again this year if you guys have any interest in that.

Glad to hear you got in, Death Ride looks full too. That's awesome that you're making the trek out that way!!! As it turns out, I might actually be moving to the west coast for a new position within my employer. Yet to be seen, but gosh good cycling out there.

Glad to know that your knee is coming along, do you have a link for the Bridge to Bridge?
