Insurance for theft in track bikes?

Postby KDA » Tue Aug 12, 2008 2:17 pm

Does anyone know of a carrier that will insure a track bike against fire/theft? I'm with Nationwide and they will no longer underwrite this coverage. Only way to get insurance against theft is to pay for full coverage. Same with Progressive. What do you guys do with your track/race bikes? No insurance? Thanks for any input.

I have nationwide and they will give you theft along with liability.

It's not nearly as expensive as full coverage.

I am also with Nationwide. My agent told me they no longer offer this coverage. I have my MX bikes covered for theft/fire and they will continue to carry them, but I cannot add any new bikes. I'll give him a call to verify again. Thank you. Any other input?

I hear ya. But when you're on vacation and someone breaks in your garage, S&W won't help much. I used to skeet shoot behind my old house for fun and also to offer some deterrent to breaking and entering.
