@Sig I stand corrected from my statements last year and Lance being over the hill. I am blown away by Lance's performance so far. The way he bridged the gap today on Stage 16 was amazing.

@Everyone: This has been an amazing race so far. If you'all are not watching the TdF, you're missing some great racing.

Yeh, it's absolutely amazing to see some of these guys dig so deep and start to get ahead, and then someone dig deeper to catch up like in that particular stage not to mention ending up where he did..WAY TO GO LANCE!!!!

Contador was without question the strongest though, and as they say, "the strongest always wins."

I must confess I always keep an eye out for Andy Schleck though, he is always nasty in the climbs and has a lot of grit.....just not enough.

Andy is only 24 years old. He'll definitely be a top contender as he matures. Unless something derails his career, he should definitely win a Grand Tour in the span of his career.

I read the article on BikesnobNYC about the firefighter attempting to kill the cyclist. And don't you just love it, he's on "paid leave" pending investigation. Nice!

That's a funny pic Sig, and I can appreciate that. I've been up in Boston/Cambridge for the last two weeks with some family. I brought my bicycle up here to ride around some of the historic sites, and places. I've been riding out to Walden Pond a lot though, good climbs and descents with some beautiful scenery. However, the roads....ARE MURDER. So rough, you have to take at minimum two spare tubes on any distance. You're going to lose at least one of them. The first day up here I beat myself half to death. However, the weather couldn't be better.

What's everyone else up to?

@Sterling & Jon
Wha'sup?
I've been a ghost on the forum for a long time. Been training, working the land at Cornerspin, dating someone for the first time in a long time, cleaning my house over and over-- because I am dating someone, teaching at Speed and teaching at Spin, wash rinse and repeat cycle. . .

Went up to NC Mts yesterday and rode the Hurt,Pain&Agony route. For the most part, it's not a hard ride. If you're racing it, yep, it'd be hard but for a training route, it rocks. The scenery is much better than B2B and some of the other rides.

Hey Aaron, next time you head up here to do the Hurt, Pain & Agony route let me know. I am only about 35 minutes away from there, I would love to join you. I got a good deal on a 2009 Bianchi 928 T-cube frame and fork a few months back and just got it built up a few weeks ago. Holy crap, going to a full carbon bike makes a HUGE difference especially when climbing.

Whattup guys,
I've been ghost myself. I've been switching it up in "tri" mode lately with some swimming, and usually running after getting off the bike. Running is definitely the weakest link. I need to come down and hook up with you guys in NC though.

I'm DEFINITELY doing BSG next year though, maybe I'll be able to take a few days off and put in some miles:)

Hope you guys are well!!!
